State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG) signed at 25/01/2017 the acceptance cooperation agreement with JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) for the project "Geospatial information for sustainable development of the territory in the area of high intensity Tirana development Durres".
The project foresee the creation of digital maps in large-scale for the economic triangle Tirana-Vora-Durres according to the methods and standards used in Japan, as well as transfering of technology, including hardware infrastructure and software, as well as training of ASIG employees. Except ASIG form this project are beneficial all central and local public authorities which base their activity in cartographic information.

Mrs. Milena Harito, Minister of State for Public Administration and Innovation, visited ALUIZNI's offices in Lezha,  where she noted that the use of Unique Digital Mapping 

In the Albanian National Geoportal administered by the State Authority for Geospatial Information(ASIG) published 5(five) geospatial data sets as below::

-GEOLOGICAL MAPS 100K

-ENERGY RESOURCES

-LAND COVER

-INFRASTRUCTURE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

-ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE (ARRSH)

On the occasion of “Innovation Week 2016” opening at the Innovation Building was held the inauguration ceremony of “Innovation Hub” project, which was attended by the Prime Minister Edi RAMA.

Also in this context the Prime Minister visited the workplace of the State Authority for Geospatial Information, where he was introduced with the achievement in his mission for the establishment of National Information Infrastructure Geospatial.
